In recent years, wind power has received more and more attention from the society. At present, the world's fastest growing renewable resource is wind power, with installed capacity exceeding 30% per year. As far as China is concerned, as of 2010, China's accumulated wind power installed capacity was 44.7 million kilowatts, accounting for 23% of global wind power installed capacity, ranking first in the world. Among them, Inner Mongolia wind power industry is developing rapidly. As of the end of March this year, the installed capacity of grid-connected wind power in the region reached 11.4 million kilowatts.
However, wind power generation, as a new energy power generation technology, is known to have disadvantages such as high cost, high risk, low profit, and long period of cost recovery. This also brings hot issues such as difficult transformation and difficult resource utilization for enterprises to join the new energy industry.
Despite the “difficult roadsâ€, various traditional enterprises are still investing in new energy industries or planning to transform into new energy industries. At the 2011 New Energy Industry Summit Forum of the Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business held in Hohhot, Professor Shi Pengfei, the deputy director of the China Wind Energy Association, pointed out the deep reason behind this phenomenon: “On the one hand, the demand for energy in the economic development of enterprises is increasing. Traditional fossil energy resources are rapidly decreasing, causing an increase in energy costs. Traditional enterprises urgently need new alternative energy sources to meet actual needs. On the other hand, environmental pressures are prominent. China has set emission reduction targets and assumed the obligations of major countries. The development of renewable energy is mentioned at a strategic level, which also encourages the transformation of traditional enterprises into the new energy industry."
Experts in the industry generally believe that although the current grid-connected operation of wind power and the coordinated utilization of wind energy resources have become an important factor restricting the development of wind power in China, at the same time, the wind energy industry as a whole still has problems such as the construction of wind farms faster than the construction of power grid supporting projects, but The government attaches great importance to the fact that wind farm operation, wind power equipment performance and grid dispatching technologies are becoming more mature, and similar problems are bound to be solved.
It is worth mentioning that the successful completion of the first phase of Inner Mongolia Wind Power Project of Huitong Energy Co., Ltd. just foresees the bright prospects of wind power generation. Mi Zhancheng, general manager of Huitong Energy, told reporters that “the transformation can successfully test the judgment of the business leaders, and test the learning ability and adjustment ability of the enterprise, especially the persistence and tenacity that never give up.â€
During the “Eleventh Five-Year Plan†period, the development capability of China's wind power equipment has developed rapidly, and the installed capacity of wind farms has doubled. At present, China's wind power equipment capacity, actual annual output and installed capacity are ranked first in the world. The proposed goal of non-fossil energy accounting for 15% of energy consumption in 2020 means that the expected target of wind power installation by 2020 should reach 2 to 250 million kilowatts, with an average annual installed capacity of 15 million to 20 million kilowatts. It is around 120 billion to 160 billion. This is undoubtedly a considerable attraction and driving role for the development of the wind power industry, investors, manufacturers and other related industrial chains, and has become a driving force for promoting the transformation of more traditional enterprises.
