Metering pump common faults and maintenance

G series mechanical diaphragm metering pump equipment installation: 1. It is recommended that the suction line be self-filling, with the suction side of the pump below the minimum reservoir level. If you must use suction lift installation, must be installed in the suction nozzle foot valve. 2.5 m water column is the maximum allowable suction height. 2. It is advisable to install a filter in the suction line for inspection and cleaning. At the same time must have the necessary stop valve and pipe live for future maintenance. 3. In the metering pump outlet pipeline must be installed pulsation buffer, safety valve. If the pressure is lower than 3Bar, it is recommended to install a back pressure valve to prevent the pipeline from siphoning. 4. The suction line must be larger than the metering pump inlet valve size. Determine the diameter size must consider the metering pump peak flow, pipe length and material viscosity and other parameters. When the outlet line is not equipped with a pulsation damper, the diameter of the pipe must also be determined with reference to the suction pipe diameter. 5. Motor wiring must refer to the motor nameplate and operating instructions. 6. Disconnect metering pump outlet line or open line vent valve. 7. Add oil as indicated by the oil level and adjust the stroke to 0%. Start the metering pump to identify abnormal noise in the pump body. 8. Gradually increase the stroke to 100%, observing the metering pump outlet for material delivery, and the flow rate changes with the stroke. 9. Close the line vent valve or connect the outlet line to add material to the system. G series of mechanical diaphragm metering pump troubleshooting: 1. Motor overheating: a. Three-phase power phase loss b. Motor wiring is not correct c. Motor stuck d. Inverter control, the motor long-term operation in low-frequency environment. (It is suggested that the low frequency should be limited to 20Hz) 2. No flow at the pump outlet: a. The motor does not turn on b. There is no material or blockage in the inlet pipe c. Check valve blockage in inlet and outlet d. Incorrect installation direction of inlet and outlet check valves 3. Pump with operating noise: a. Turbine and worm normally run in. B. Incorrect lubricant filling position c. Bearing wear 4. No change in flow rate: a. Sliding crank break due to pulse free damper in outlet line 5 Leakage detection leak Material: a. Diaphragm rupture 6. Missing leak detection port: a. Seal rupture G series mechanical diaphragm metering pump routine maintenance: 1. Lubricants need to be replaced after 250 hours of initial operation. After every 2500 hours or six months to replace the oil. 2. Check the check valves and diaphragms every six months and decide whether to replace them according to the actual conditions. 3. When the ambient temperature is below 100C, the winter lubricant (Mobil 626 etc.) should be replaced.
